Before installing
You need Relay access, permission to manage the website’s settings, a saved bot configuration and approved Brain knowledge. Test the bot privately first.
Open Relay → Installation Code for the selected website. Copy the current snippet from the screen rather than reusing an example from another website.
Install the widget
- Confirm the saved website domain.
- Set Public chat to On and save.
- Copy the generated JavaScript snippet.
- Add it once before the closing body tag or in your website builder’s footer script field.
- Publish that website change.
- Open the public HTTPS site as a visitor and test the widget.
The saved HTTPS domain and its supported www alias are allowed. A different subdomain, port, unrelated domain or HTTP page can be refused. The embed identifier belongs to the bot; it is not a general API credential.
Using Launch
When Relay is enabled in Launch → Website & integrations, Launch can add the saved bot automatically. Confirm the relevant integration setting before adding another manual copy of the widget.
Installing the script twice can create confusing behaviour. Check the website template and any tag manager or footer plugin for duplicate snippets.
If the widget does not work
Check public chat status, product access and the website’s active state. Confirm the exact HTTPS domain in the address bar. Then inspect whether the website’s content security policy, consent manager or cache is blocking the script or its requests.
A platform service or credit restriction can prevent answers even when the button is visible. Use the recorded error and ask the appropriate administrator to repair that condition.
The widget answers questions; it cannot publish articles, manage accounts, execute Crew proposals or create human support tickets.
