Plan the domain before changing DNS

Open Launch → Domains for the selected website. Decide whether the domain should serve a website with landing pages or a blog at its root.

A DNS change can affect an existing public site. Confirm the intended hostname and coordinate the change with whoever manages that domain. Use the exact values shown in Nuvilo rather than copying another customer’s records.

Connect and verify

  1. Add the intended domain using the available controls.
  2. Copy its ownership TXT record.
  3. Add the record through your DNS provider.
  4. Return to Nuvilo and run verification.
  5. Configure the required routing records and hosting setup.
  6. Select the appropriate routing mode.
  7. Confirm HTTPS and public visibility before sharing the address.

DNS changes can take time to become visible. A pending state is not proof that the value is wrong, but you should still compare the saved record carefully.

Choose the routing mode

Website & landing pages serves the website experience. Blog only serves the native blog at the domain root and does not require a homepage.

Routing mode affects article URLs, categories, search, RSS and sitemap destinations. Review existing links before changing it on a domain already in use.

Verify as a visitor

Open the HTTPS address outside the editor. Check the homepage or blog root, an article or page, navigation and any enabled Relay widget. Confirm that the domain belongs to the intended website.

If verification or serving fails, inspect the exact hostname, ownership record, routing configuration, active website and published visibility. Domain ownership does not automatically establish that a page has been published, and a published page does not automatically establish that DNS points to it.
