Decide what should be watched

Open Pulse → Monitoring Centre and choose Create Custom Monitor where your permissions allow it. A monitor repeatedly runs a supported observation against a target.

Start with a question: “Has this page’s score fallen below our review threshold?” is clearer than “monitor everything”. The available check types determine whether the target is a URL, domain, phrase or product identifier.

Configure the monitor

  1. Enter a recognisable name.
  2. Choose the check type.
  3. Supply the target in the format described by that type.
  4. Select daily, weekly or manual frequency.
  5. Set the relevant device and search country.
  6. Review thresholds and any type-specific fields.
  7. Save and confirm whether the monitor is active.

Product-detail and seller checks can require a product identifier, while review checks can need a different identifier from the shopping results. Read the helper text instead of using a product page URL for every check type.

Choose thresholds carefully

An alert threshold expresses when you want attention. It does not establish that the change is a confirmed business problem. A decline percentage needs enough comparable observations to be meaningful.

Device, country, bid and match settings can affect the returned evidence. Keep them consistent when you intend to compare results over time.

Review and maintain

Open the monitor to inspect history and recent results. Pausing a monitor stops future scheduled work through the available control; it does not make earlier observations disappear.

Deleting a custom monitor is a separate action and can remove its saved results. Read the effect summary before confirming. If a run is blocked by credits, target validation or provider configuration, fix that cause rather than cloning multiple monitors with the same failing target.
