Build a factual product record

Open Brain → Product Knowledge for the selected website. Add the product or service name, its approved description and the details customers need to make a decision. Include identifiers such as SKU, manufacturer reference or model number where applicable.

Separate similar variants. A receiver, a remote and a complete kit may share a family name while serving different purposes. Distinct records and clear descriptions reduce the risk of the wrong item being discussed or pictured.

Add useful supporting information

  1. Confirm the product’s name and identifier.
  2. Describe its purpose, key features and intended audience.
  3. Record compatibility limits and relevant exclusions.
  4. Add the correct public product page where supported.
  5. Attach an accurate image gallery and choose the primary image.
  6. Save the record and review its active state.

Use readable images that clearly show the item. A small promotional graphic with heavy text is a poor reference for accurate product appearance.

Use products in content

Quill can match active products using names, identifiers and explicit catalogue aliases. For supported image generation, selected gallery files can be supplied as visual references. Each generated scene still needs review: references improve grounding but do not guarantee exact reproduction of logos, controls or fine details.

If a gallery is missing or unreadable, the interface should explain the limitation. Repair the source files rather than expecting an AI prompt to reconstruct a commercial product reliably.

Keep the catalogue current

When a product is discontinued or its specifications change, update or deactivate the record. Check related terms, Q&A and article briefs for old facts. Do not create a nearly identical second record unless it represents a genuinely different variant.

Product images and training belong to the selected website. A gallery on another website is not an automatic reference for this one.
